Himitsu o shiri tai

You're wondering who I am (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
Machine or mannequin (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
With parts made in Japan (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
I am the modern man

I've got a secret I've been hiding under my skin
My heart is human, my blood is boiling, my brain IBM
So if you see me acting strangely, don't be surprised
I'm just a man who needed someone and somewhere to hide
To keep me alive, just keep me alive
Somewhere to hide to keep me alive

I'm not a robot without emotions, I'm not what you see
I've come to help you with your problems so we can be free
I'm not a hero, I'm not a savior, forget what you know
I'm just a man who's circumstances went beyond his control
Beyond my control, We all need control
I need control, We all need control

I am the moldren man (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
Who hides behind a mask (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
So no one else can see (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
My true identity

Domo arigato, Mr, Roboto
Domo, Domo
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto
Domo, Domo
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
(Thank you very much oh Mr. Roboto
for doing the jobs that nobody wants to)
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
(And thank you very much oh Mr. Roboto
for helping me escape just when I needed to)
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
(Thank you thank you thank you)
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
(I wanna thank you)
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
(Please thank you)

The problem's plain to see
Too much technology
Machines to save our lives
Machines de-humanize

The time has come at last (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
To throw away this mask (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
Now everyone can see (Secret secret, I've got a secret)
My true identity

I'm Kilroy! Kilroy! Kilroy! Kilroy....

Another forgotten band that has heavily influenced my childhood. My father introduced me to all the great music. On the hour long car rides to my Dad’s place on his visitational weekends, I would choose the music from the tapes he had in his car. It was often either Paul McCartney, Three Dog Night, Chicago or Styx.

I would think up story lines to go with this song, which seemed really legit at the time, but I’m sure would be hilarious now if I tried to remember them. I can at least thank them for teaching me every bit of Japanese I now know today.

It's a new World, it's a new start
It's alive, with the beating of Young hearts
It's a new day, it's a new plan
I've be waiting for you, here I am

Yeah yeah yeah

Here I am

Here we are, we've just begun
And after all this time my time has come
Yeah, here we are, still going strong
Wright here in the place were we belong

Ooh!
It's a new World, it's a new start
It's alive, with the beating of Young hearts
It's a new day, it's a new plan

My daughter’s favorite pixar film is Spirit. We watched it over & over again this last summer. Luckily, I don’t really mind, because all the music was written & performed by Brian Adams, my canadian hero ( With some help from Hans Zimmer). Now every time I play anything else by him, my daughter will ask “ Is this the horsey man?” Good girl.

This is an expert taken right out of the film

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless,but not for long
The future is coming on
I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
It's coming on [x3]

Yeah... Ha Ha!
Finally someone let me out of my cage
Now, time for me is nothing cos I'm counting no age
Now I couldn't be this
Now you shouldn't be scared
I'm good at repairs
And I'm under each snare
Intangible
Bet you didn't think so I command you to
Panoramic view
Look I'll make it all manageable
Pick and choose
Sit and lose
All you different crews
Chicks and dudes
Who you think is really kickin' tunes?
Picture you gettin' down in a picture tube
Like you lit the fuse
You think it's fictional
Mystical? Maybe
Spiritual
Hero who appears in you to clear your view when you're too crazy
Lifeless
To know the definition for what life is
Priceless
For you because I put you on the hype %&*^
You like it?
Gunsmokin' righteous with one token
Psychic among those
Possess you with one go

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless,but not for long
The future is coming on
I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
It's coming on [x3]

The essence the basics
Without it you make it
Allow me to make this
Child, like in nature
Rhythm
You have it or you don't that's a fallacy
I'm in them
Every sprouting tree
Every child apiece
Every cloud you see
You see with your eyes
I see destruction and demise
Corruption in disguise
From this enterprise
Now I'm sucking to your lies
Through Russ, though not his muscles but the percussion he provides
with me as a guide
But y'all can see me now cos you don't see with your eye
You perceive with your mind
That's the inner
So I'm gonna stick around with Russ and be a mentor
bust a few rhymes so (*&%^$ *&^$^@*
Remember where the thought is
I brought all this
So you can survive when law is lawless
Feelings, sensations that you thought were dead
No squealing, remember
(that it's all in your head)

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
My future is coming on
It's coming on [x4]
My future is coming on
It's coming on [x4]
My future is coming on
It's coming on [x4]
My future is coming on
It's coming on [x2]
My future is coming on
It's coming on [x2]
My future is coming on
It's coming on [x2]
My future

This song isn’t noteworthy, really, at first listen. It’s when you find out that this band consist’s only of animated people for members that you realize it’s true brilliance. That’s right. I said animated. Drawn people.

What was truly awesome was watching Madonna’s opening act with the cartoon band at the 2006 Grammies. Oh how I really wanted legs as killer as hers. Her legs & Kelly Ripa’s arms…hmm. Gotta go. Need to hit the gym!

Wicked, wicked (oooo) - had to kick it
I'm not shy so I asked for the digits
A ho? No, that don't make me
See what I want slip slide to it swifty
Felt it in my hips so I dipped back to my bag of tricks
Then I flipped for a tip, make me wanna do tricks for him
Lick him like a lollipop should be licked

Ummm, you're packed and you're stacked 'specially in the back
Brother, wanna thank your mother for a butt like that (thanks, Mom)
Can I get some fries with that shake-shake booty?
If looks could kill you would be an uzi
You're a shotgun - bang! What's up with that thang?
I wanna know how does it hang?
Straight up, wait up, hold up, Mr. Lover
Like Prince said you're a sexy mutha-
Well-a, I like 'em real wild, b-boy style by the mile
Smooth black skin with a smile
Bright as the sun, I wanna have some fun
Come (come) and (hmmm) give me some of that yum-yum
Chocolate chip, honey dip, can I get a scoop? (please)
Baby, take a ride in my coupe, you make me wanna...

Shoop shoop ba-doop (Baby, hey)

Well let me bring you back to the subject, Pep's on the set
Make you get hot, make you work up a sweat
When you skip-to-my-lou, my darling
Not falling in love but I'm falling for your [super sperm]
When I get ya betcha bottom dollar you were best under pressure
[Yo, Sandy, I wanna like, taste you]
Getcha getcha lips wet cuz it's time to have Pep

On your mark, get set, go, let me go, let me shoop
To the next man in the three-piece suit
I spend all my dough, ray me, cutie
Shoop shoop a-doobie like Scoobie Doobie Doo
I love you in your big jeans, you give me nice dreams
You make me wanna scream, "Oooo, oooo, oooo!"
I like what ya do when you do what ya do
You make me wanna shoop

He's the cutest brother in here
And he's comin' this way! Oooo!]

But I'm wicked, G, (yeah) hit skins but never quickly (that's right)
I hit the skins for the hell of it, just for the yell I get
Mmm mmm mmm, for the smell of it (smell it)
They want my bod, here's the hot rod (hot rod)
Twelve inches to a yard (damn) and have ya soundin' like a retard (yeah)
Big 'Twan Love-Her, six-two, wanna hit you

Shoop ba-doop
Shoop ba-doop ba-doop ba-doop

Oh, you make me wanna shoop
Hey yeah, I wanna shoop, baby

Salt n’ Peppa. What a trip. Shortly after high school, my best friend & I thought we were pretty cool. We memorized the lyrics to this song & tried to keep up. We blarred it on my poor stereo in my blue Grand Prix coupe & cruised around town.
My God, we were awesome.

In the sixth grade, we were especially cool. So cool, that I thought a three piece suite was some strange bathing suite. No,no, really. That kind of cool. Kids think up the silliest things…

So…can you keep up with the rhymes? I dare you to try. Don’t worry— I won’t be there to laugh at you.

Finding this video has made me realize that the 90's weren't as clean as I thought they were! It's no question where Britney got her inspiration from.
Oh yeah-- And the lyrics are posted on the screen like a sing-a-long so you can cheat your way through.

Same Old Lang Syne

Day 79

--Stats--

Artist: Dan Fogelburg

Genre: Folk

Album: The innocent Age

Released: 1981

Met my old lover in the grocery store
The snow was falling Christmas Eve
I stole behind her in the frozen foods
And I touched her on the sleeve

She didn't recognize the face at first
But then her eyes flew open wide
She went to hug me and she spilled her purse
And we laughed until we cried

We took her groceries to the checkout stand
The food was totalled up and bagged
We stood there lost in our embarrassment
As the conversation dragged

We went to have ourselves a drink or two
But couldn't find an open bar
We bought a six-pack at the liquor store
And we drank it in her car

We drank a toast to innocence
We drank a toast to now
And tried to reach beyond the emptiness
But neither one knew how

She said she'd married her an architect
Who kept her warm and safe and dry
She would have liked to say she loved the man
But she didn't like to lie

I said the years had been a friend to her
And that her eyes were still as blue
But in those eyes I wasn't sure if I saw
Doubt or gratitude

She said she saw me in the record stores
And that I must be doing well
I said the audience was heavenly
But the traveling was hell

We drank a toast to innocence
We drank a toast to now
And tried to reach beyond the emptiness
But neither one knew how

We drank a toast to innocence
We drank a toast to time
Reliving in our eloquence
Another 'auld lang syne'

The beer was empty and our tongues were tired
And running out of things to say
She gave a kiss to me as I got out
And I watched her drive away

Just for a moment I was back at school
And felt that old familiar pain
And as I turned to make my way back home
The snow turned into-- rain...

What an epic song. I wonder how many people are living this reality? Dan Folgelburg really had a way with song writing. I always have enjoyed hearing this song play around Christmas time & New Years. One year, it came on while I was visiting my aunt in Washington Thanks Giving weekend. Picture a bunch of drunk women singing loud & out of tune, of course knowing every word. The following month, Folgelburg succumbed to prostate cancer. What a way to go. This song will always add a little something to my holiday season.

I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that place.
Even your emotions had an echo
In so much space

And when you're out there
Without care,
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Possibly [radio version]
probably [album version]

And I hope that you are having the time of your life
But think twice, that's my only advice

Come on now, who do you, who do you, who do you, who do you think you are,
Ha ha ha bless your soul
You really think you're in control

Well, I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
Just like me

My heroes had the heart to lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember is thinking, I want to be like them
Ever since I was little, ever since I was little it looked like fun
And it's no coincidence I've come
And I can die when I'm done

Maybe I'm crazy
Maybe you're crazy
Maybe we're crazy
Probably...

This one is fun. “…Who do you think you are? Ha ha ha, bless your soul…” Seriously now. Great to sing & makes me think of the summer that I had my first child, Taylor. I had all this free time, as I left work six weeks before I was due. When I got restless, I would drive somewhere just me, because I knew I still could. This song was on the radio. So this song makes me think of the freedom to do things just
myself.

If you are a mother, what songs were on the radio during your “Freedom rides’?

I want to live where soul meets body,
And let the sun wrap its arms around me,
And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing,
And feel, feel what it's like to be new,
'Cause in my head there's a Greyhound station,
Where I send my thoughts to far-off destinations.
So they may have a chance of finding a place where,
They're far more suited than here.

BAda-bada ba-bah
bada ba-ba bada ba-bah
bada ba-ba bada-ba
bada bada-bah

I cannot guess what we'll discover,
When we turn the dirt with our palms cupped like shovels,
But I know our filthy hands can wash one another's,
And not one speck will remain.

And I do believe it's true that there are roads left in both of our shoes, But if the silence takes you then I hope it takes me too.
So brown eyes I hold you near, 'cause you're the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere.

Where soul meets body.
Where soul meets body.
Where soul meets body.

And I do believe it's true that there are roads left in both of our shoes, But if the silence takes you then I hope it takes me too.
So brown eyes I hold you near, 'cause you're the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere.
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere.
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere.

I love Death Cab For Cutie. I also love this song. It is my favorite of theirs. Not only the music, but the lyrics speak to me as well. Favorite quote; “ In my head there’s a Gray Hound station, where I send my thoughts to far off destinations, so they may have a chance of finding a place where their far more suited than here.” Boy, can I relate. Though I love being close to my family, I often find that Dallas just isn’t quite stimulating enough.

On my IPOD, I have engraved “I want to live where Soul meets body.” Mostly because I couldn’t think of anything better & had to order it right that mount. Later, my friend thought of something better; “ Please don’t stop the music.” Brilliant a little too late. None the less, these lyrics mean something to me, & the musical tones in this song are thrilling to me. An upbeat number for the Death Cabs, for sure. Thanks you guys for making music I can think to.

Do these lyrics speak to you? What other songs might lyrically inspire you?

See the curtains hanging in the window
In the evening on a Friday night
A little light shining through the window
Lets me know that every thing's all right

Summer breeze, well it makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, it makes me feel fine
Blowing through my making me feel-right
Making me feel, making me feel fine, makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind

See the paper laying on the sidewalk,
A little music from the house next door... who lives next door?
So I walk on up to the doorstep,
Through the screen and then across the floor

Summer breeze, well it makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, it makes me feel fine
Blowing through my making me feel-right
Making me feel, making me feel fine, makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind

Oh, sweet days are summer, the jasmines in bloom (ladadaaa)
July is dressed up and playing a tune
And when I come ho-home, from a hard days work
And you re waiting there
Oh yes you re waiting there, without a care in the world

I see the smile a-waiting in the kitchen
a-Food a-cooking and a-plates a-there for two
You, I see the arms that reach out to hold me
In the evening when the day is through

Summer breeze, well it makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, it makes me feel fine
Blowing through my making me feel-right
Making me feel, making me feel fine, makes me feel right
Blowing through the jasmine in my
Blowing, a-blowing
Blowing through the jasmine in my
Blowing, a-blowing
Blowing through the jasmine in my
Blowing, a-blowing
Blowing through the jasmine in my
Blowing, a-blowing
a-blowing through the jasmine in my mind

This song starts the endorphins flowing in my brain. Perhaps because it reminds me of shopping in the sweet summertime. Specifically hitting all the sales at the local Abercrombie & Fitch & Pottery Barn. Oh how I loved shopping there when I lived close. During the summer of 2007, I frequented Washington Square often. My fiance & I were to be married soon & I dreamed of making our home look like a Pottery Barn catalogue. I would tear out pages & store them in a box for feature reference. I registered there as soon as was deemed appropriate. Our current home looks closer to an IKEA catalogue (The more affordable option.), but I can still dream, right? Maybe when the kids are older & stop leaving smudges all over the windows or stains on the couch.

So I posted the lyrics that go with the Json Mraz lyrics. I am posting both videos, so you can see the contrast.

And the original...

To the Moon and Back

Day 75

Group: Savage Garden

Genre: Pop

Album: Savage Garden

Released: 1996

She's taking her time
making up the reasons
to justify all the hurt inside
guess she knows from the smiles
and the look in their eyes
every one's got a theory 'bout the bitter one

They're saying "Mama never loved her much"
and "Daddy never keeps in touch"
that's why she shies away from human affection
but somewhere in a private place
she packs her bags for outer space
and now she's waiting
for the right kind of pilot to come
(and she'll say to him) she'll say

I will fly you to the moon and back
if you'll be if you'll be my baby
I've got a ticket for a world where we belong
so won't you be my baby

She can't remember a time when she felt needed
if love was red then she was colorblind
all her friends they've been trialed for treason
and crimes that were never defined

She's saying "Love is like a barren place
and reaching out for human faith is
it's like a journey I just don't have a map for"
so baby, gonna take a dive and
push shift to overdrive and send a signal
that she's hanging on the hoops on the stars
(what a pleasant dream) she's saying

I will fly you to the moon and back
if you'll be if you'll be my baby
I've got a ticket for a world where we belong
so won't you be my baby yeah

(Hold on hold on)

Mama never loved her much
and Daddy never keeps in touch
that's why she shies away from human affection
but somewhere in a private place
she packs her bags for outer space
and now she's waiting
for the right kind of pilot to come
(and she'll say to me) she's saying

I will fly you to the moon and back
if you'll be if you'll be my baby
I've got a ticket for a world where we belong
so won't you be my baby
And I will fly you to the moon and back
if you'll be if you'll be my baby
I've got a ticket for a world where we belong
so would you be my baby yeah!

Savage Garden! What ever happened to these guys? Another example of something that didn't survive after the 90's. I don't care if you think they were a sissy band, this song is still pretty awesome. Described as their darkest piece, considering most of the song's they wrote were lovey dovey. "Gunning Down Romance" is a good contender. I love the hint of techno & robotics in this song & the fade out. Good stuff.

This song brings me back to the seventh grade, when Savage Garden pretty much ruled the Pop scene. This was before Britney Spears. "Savage Garden", the second CD I ever owned. I've owned thousands. That is pretty amazing in my book, and what's even more amazing is I still have it. The original. A pretty big feat, because I'm down to a couple hundred still hunkering around in my basement. So here it is. A tribute to you, my Australian friends.

I chose not to use the original because the tracking was so badly off, it was distracting!

Nobody knows it but you've got a secret smile

And you use it only for me

Nobody knows it but you've got a secret smile

And you use it only for me

So use it and prove it

Remove this whirling sadness

I'm losing, I'm bluesing

But you can save me from madness

Nobody knows it but you've got a secret smile

And you use it only for me

Nobody knows it but you've got a secret smile

And you use it only for me

So save me I'm waiting

I'm needing, hear me pleading

And soothe me, improve me

I'm grieving, I'm barely believing now, now

When you are flying around and around the world

And I'm lying alonely

I know there's something sacred and free reserved

And received by me only

Nobody Know it, but you've got a secret smile,

And you use it only for me

Nobody knows it, but you've got a secret smile...

When I found out I was pregnant with my son, I smiled a lot. I called it my secret smile, because next to no one knew. It was the greatest secret I ever got to keep...for a while at least. I cannot describe the feeling of knowing that something miraculous is happening right inside your own body. Something that will change you & your family forever, but no one can see it happening. Nobody suspects a thing...pretty neat.

I have never owned a Death Cab For Cutie album until this year. Now I own almost all. It's not that they are a new discovery for me. I have listened to them for many years. I have liked every song that has come on the radio by their name. I've burned individual songs onto mixed Cd's on various occasions. itunes always suggest that I might like them, based upon my other music purchases. Yet not a single download. I'm not sure why it took me so long, as everything "Death Cab" is so me.

Hopeful Melancholy. That about sums up their musical tone. I don't know what it is, but that strikes the match perfectly. Yes, their lyrics & melodies can appear to sound quite glum, yet I am left with a happy feeling in the end. The song "No Sunlight" I have picked from their latest album "Narrow Stairs." The album is darker than any they have previously released, & the song's subject is bleak, yet I would still label it as an uplifting tune. Strange, maybe, but I am not the only one. It is a general feeling among "Death Cab" fans. At any rate, I cannot imagine myself as a wide ranged music lover without them on my play list. Not anymore.

This used to be my playground
This used to be my childhood dream
This used to be the place I ran to
Whenever I was in need
Of a friend
Why did it have to end

And why do they always say
Don't look back
Keep your head held high
Don't ask them why
Because life is short
And before you know
You're feeling old
And your heart is breaking

Don't hold on to the past
Well that's too much to ask

This used to be my playground
This used to be my childhood dream
This used to be the place I ran to
Whenever I was in need
Of a friend
Why did it have to end

And why do they always say
No regrets
But I wish that you
Were here with me
Well then there's hope yet
I can see your face
In our secret place
You're not just a memory

Say goodbye to yesterday
Those are words I'll never say

This used to be my playground
This used to be our pride and joy
This used to be the place we ran to
That no one in the world could dare destroy

This used to be our playground
This used to be our childhood dream
This used to be the place we ran to
I wish you were standing here with me

This used to be our playground
This used to be our childhood dream
This used to be the place we ran to
The best things in life are always free
Wishing you were here with me

This song is "A League of their own" all the way for me. I watched that movie over & over again when I was growing up. It was a good movie. It still is a good movie. Tom Hanks performance made the movie, really. If you can't remember, this number played at the end of the movie. I believe this song was actually written specifically for the film, seeing as Madonna played a supporting role. During my trip to Florida in the winter of '96, I watched movies in our hotel room at night with my Dad. This was one of them. Incidentally, I had this tune stuck in my head the whole time. Well, this one & practically the whole production of "The Phantom of the Opera". Very odd, I suppose. So it's a no-brainer that this song makes me think of that time. Why don't I go on vacations anymore?

The meaning of this song doesn't surpass me. It's a strange coincidence that this song makes me think of Florida, which in return makes me think of myself then; a fifth grader at Candalaria Elementary, which their holds my childhood playground. I'm not sure I would recognize it now. There have been so many changes. I've been back a few times to reminisce. It's a painful experience I can only stand every five years or so. The last time I went I believe was the summer of 2005. So I'm due again. Maybe I could take my kids. I should probably specify that it's not painful because I had a terrible childhood, but a good one, and I know I can't get back again.

On this playground, there is a raised Black-top with hop-scotch & four-square courts. All the popular girls played four-square. There is a covered area in-which we would get in trouble climbing up the sides where the gates were. You didn't want to mess with Mrs. Baker. Down one level, there was an area dedicated to Tether ball. There use to also be an area with a bunch of wooden planks stacked like Tetras pieces. We use to pretend it was a mega house. The bottom level had a rather large cement track with a field in the middle. To the right was the main playground with the old school play structures & bark- dust chips. To the left on the far end of the track was a large fat tree. That was where we played house. We used branches with leaves as brooms. House cleaning was endless & seemed to occupy us most of recess. Across the way was the stairs that led back up to the top level. The Queen Bee's hung out there.

I like that there is a song to represent my time there. And I like that Madonna wrote a song that can be tied to friendship instead of a un-Platonic love affair like most. Don't you think?

Tell me about your childhood playground. Who do you miss?

How do you cool your lips
After a summers kiss
How do you rid the sweat
After the body bliss
How do you turn your eyes
From the romantic glare
How do you block the sound
Of a voice youd know anywhere

Oh, I really should have known
By the time you drove me home
By the vagueness in your eyes
Your casual good-byes
By the chill in your embrace
The expression on your face
That told me
Maybe You might have some advice to give
On how to be
Insensitive
Insensitive
Insensitive

How do you numb your skin
After the warmest touch
How do you slow your blood
After the body rush
How do you free your soul
After youve found a friend
How do you teach your heart
Its a crime to fall in love again

Oh, you probably wont remember me
Its probably ancient history
Im one of the chosen few
Who went ahead and fell for you
Im out of hope, Im out of touch
I fell too fast, I feel too much
I thought that you might have
Some advice to give on how to be
Insensitive

I really should have known
By the time you drove me home
By the vagueness in your eyes
Your casual good-byes
By the chill in your embrace
The expression on your face
That told me
Maybe You might have some advice to give
On how to be
Insensitive
(How to be)
Insensitive
(How to be)
Insensitive
(How to be)

I really must have liked this song back in the day, cuz I felt the need to write out the lyrics in my journal. Not that I had had any experience with insensitive men at that point in my life. Whatever the deal, It is a really well written song. She sort of reminds me of a softer Alanis Morrsette. She released a new CD a few years ago. Haven't checked it out yet. Maybe another diary worthy tune will present it's self.
