Black Hole Sun
Day 39
--STATS--
Group: Soundgarden
Genre: Alternative rock/ Grunge
Album: Superunknown
Released: 1994
In my eyes, in disposed,
In disguise:as no one knows
Hides the face Lies
The snake, the sun
In my disgrace
Boiling heat, Summer stench
'Neath the black
The sky looks dead
Call my name
Through the cream
And I'll hear you
Scream again
Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won't you come
Won't you come
Stuttering
Cold and damp
Steal the warm wind
Tired friend
Times are gone
For honest men
And sometimes
Far too long
For snakes
In my shoes
A-walking sleep
And my youth
I pray to keep
Heaven send, Hell away
No one sings
Like you anymore
Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won't you come
Won't you come
Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won't you come
Won't you come
Hang my head
Drown my fear
Till you all just
Disappear
Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won't you come
Won't you come
Ok, so I had to have one true to the 90's grunge song. And also, my Dad really did like this song. It makes me think of him. The lyrics of this song are really dark. Drugs? Suicide? Delusions? I don't know, but the song it's self is actually very pretty with a brilliant melody. If I didn't already know, I would still guess it came out of this decade. Grunge music was at the top of it's game during this time, with groups like Nirvana, PearlJam, & The Verve Pipe. Growing up, I wasn't really into this scene though. I had many friends who were, but I tended to favor the classic rock of a couple decades prior.
I hadn't actually seen the music video before Saturday. I almost peed my pants. I don't think this style of music is for me. At least the me I have become. I might have enjoyed it more back in the day when I could watch scary movies & such without consquencly thinking about what terrible things could happen to my family, to my children. Still uncertain I should post the video. I might find a different one instead...if you want to see the original, google it. Make sure to use the bathroom prior.
